Students work together to bring Poe classic to life with old time radio drama

WHSN 89.3 FM, students of the Entertainment Production and Live Sound Technology departments at the New England School of Communications will team up for the third annual Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Imagination. This year, The Fall of the House of Usher will be performed live from the stage of the Gracie Theatre on Tuesday, October 30th at 7:30PM.

In past years, Poe classics The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Cask of Amontillado have been performed in the Gracie Theatre for a live “studio” audience  Students bring the old-time radio alive with voice acting, creating sound effects even dress for the time period. Live audience attendees are transported back to a time when radio drama was a nightly event for the whole family.
