2006 Audio Engineering alum Bret Johnson has been nominated for an Emmy along with Tom Fleischman, Richard Davis, and Elliot Scheiner for their work on History Of The Eagles on Showtime. The nomination comes in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming. Johnson’s role in the production was as sound re-recordist.
Directed by Alison Ellwood, this intimate, meticulously crafted patchwork of rare archival material, concert footage and never-before-seen home movies explores the evolution and enduring popularity of The Eagles from their creation to break-up to reunion.
