Imagine sailing to Jamaica while being surrounded by reggae music being made by some of the best artists in the genre including Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stephen Marley and Julian Marley. It may sound like a dream vacation but for students of Live Sound Technology at NESCom, it’s field experience like no other. Eight Live Sound Technology Students will leave for Miami, Florida to work as stage crew on Welcome To Jamrock, a celebration of reggae with stops in Montego Bay & Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Cruise Production

The 6 day experience-at-sea is coordinated with an on-going partnership with Cruise Production, the production company founded by NESCom alum Tim Cabral.

Eric Ferguson, Director of Audio at NESCom will be working alongside the students for the cruise which runs from October 20th to the 25th. More information on the cruise is available at http://www.welcometojamrockreggaecruise.com
